The work of 2 years, this cosplay pushed my skill set in every way, and all of my efforts paid off. It really feels like the culmination of everything I’ve learned so far as a cosplayer and I am so very proud. Of course, it’s Alvis again too.

Old Man Yaoi
In collaboration with my delightful partner Clive @momome03 and performing as the duo Blossom Dance Cosplay, we created this skit!
I wrote the script! It’s my gay fanfiction rewrite of a scene near the end of Future Redeemed where Shulk and A chat about the future and getting old. It’s a short but nice scene on its own (it’s cutscene 35 if you want to find it on youtube) but I was like “bro I can run with this”. I thought of this skit as a live-action cutscene and planned everything from that viewpoint, so it feels authentic to the source even if it’s fully original! Thus old man yaoi was born.
Clive did all the choreography and the audio timing! It was his idea to do a skit together, and he’s the one who really brought this to life! Going from the same viewpoint of “live cutscene” he created a dance set to the main theme of the first game that felt realistic to the characters but suited for the stage and the time limit and I’m so impressed with his work!
For our costumes and performance, we were awarded Team USA for Pop Culture Hiroshima 2026, and will perform again in Japan!
